a little bit about the studio...

Scott's studio is in a renovated horse barn in Muskoka, just outside of the impossibly picturesque lakeside village of Windermere. Just up the road from the local strawberry farm, The Stable Studio is a workspace for Scott and his wife, jeweller Miranda Britton, as well as a gallery featuring their work. The building is also home to two horses - Pineapple and Winter, which is why it's called The Stable Studio.

Tucked into a towering tree line in a tiny field, the Stable Studio sits above a private lake where you can see just about every kind of wildlife that calls Muskoka home - it's a pretty sweet spot. There is also a sugar shack on the property, and each spring, Scott makes about 75 litres of syrup from the maples on the property.

Scott and Miranda are members of the Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour, Canada's longest-running studio tour, which invites the public into artists' studios each fall. 2015 tour dates are September 26&27 and October 3&4.

The Stable Studio has evolved into a multi purpose event space, with a house concert series and summertime workshops. Visit the website for more details.
